バックパッキングや山行に適した、より実践的なブックカバーがこちらの "First Stitch" です。本体はX-pacのlightskinを使用し、防水機能で本を過酷な環境から守ります。縫製を簡略化させ、無駄な工程を極力チョップドさせ、必要な部分以外をカットオフで仕上げています。
通常のブックカバーと違い、ブックカバーの左端をあえて織り込ませないことで、とっさのブックマークに使えるほか、端にあるストレッチコードにより、本を閉じてからコードで留めることで、本の型くずれを防ぎます。さらに、ストレッチ生地にカバーの左端を収納することでも本を収納可能の二段構えとなっています。
